Sunrise Medical announces the acquisition of Oracing, a leading Spanish-based designer and manufacturer of innovative sports, made-to-measure wheelchairs, and E-Mobility power products.

This acquisition is part of the Fresno, Calif-based company’s aim to help improve people’s lives by providing customers with the products and services that are not only clinically beneficial but also make their lives more enjoyable and fun at the same time, it notes in a media release.

“Oracing is a well-established brand and a great addition to our group,” says Mike Sheen, General Manager for RGK, who has been involved in the acquisition. “Together with our existing strong brands like RGK, Quickie and Empulse, we can offer the most suitable products to satisfy a large variety of specific customer needs in these fast-growing market segments.”

Per the release, Oracing designs, manufactures, and distributes a wide range of Sports, made-to-measure manual wheelchairs, hand bikes, and E-Mobility power assist products. The company, founded by Felipe Garcia in 2007, manufactures and distributes from its facility in Gandia on the east coast of Spain and currently mainly sells within Europe.
