LIM Innovations, based in San Francisco, announces that its Infinite Socket prosthetic socket has received Medicare approval for coverage and reimbursement.

The Infinite Socket is a custom-molded modular prosthetic socket that is designed to be adjustable to accommodate daily volume fluctuation. It is ideal for trans-femoral and knee disarticulation patients with large volume changes, discomfort, or risk for skin breakdown, and for activity levels K1-K4, according to the company’s website.

“We appreciate Medicare’s thorough evaluation of the Infinite Socket,” says LIM Innovations CEO and co-founder, Andrew Pedtke, in a media release. “Our product can now be considered as an alternative to conventional socket technology.”
