The Center for Rehabilitation Technology at Helen Hayes Hospital, West Haverstraw, NY, announces four upcoming workshops in Spring 2016.

Home Control by Voice (Thursday, March 17, 2:30 to 5 pm)

Learn about the various voice technologies available to help those with a disability control functions in their home.

Special Solutions Custom Fabrications (Monday, April 18, 2:30 to 5 pm)

Receive an overview of creative solutions Helen Hayes Hospital’s Special Apparatus team can develop to enable those with disabilities to be more independent when commercial equipment just doesn’t work.

Wheelchair Funding (Monday, May 16, 2:30 to 5 pm)

Experts in Helen Hayes Hospital’s Seating & Wheeled Mobility Center teach those with disabilities how to navigate the insurance landscape and funding options to select a wheelchair that is the best fit for them.

Eye Tracking Augmentative & Alternative Communication (Thursday, June 16, 2:30 to 5 pm)

See firsthand the latest eye tracking technologies to help persons who are unable to speak, gesture, or write to communicate with just their eye gaze.

These workshops are free for those with disabilities and their families/caregivers, and $25 for all other attendees.
