Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network reports that it has appointed Ronald J. Petula, CPA, as senior vice president (SVP) of Finance and chief financial officer (CFO). Petula assumes the role following a promotion from vice president of Finance.

A news release from Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network adds that Petula began at Good Shepherd in 1999, serving as director of Finance before becoming its corporate director of Financial Planning in 2002 and vice president of Finance in 2008. Prior to joining Good Shepherd, Petula served in financial positions at Easton Hospital, Pittsburgh Mercy Health System, and Arthur Andersen & Co.

The release notes Petula holds a bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and is a certified public accountant.

John Kristel, MBA, MPT, president & CEO, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network, states that Petula, “has provided strong financial leadership and has a proven track record with our organization. Ron is creative, driven and committed to aligning Good Shepherd’s financial results with our mission.”

In his role as SVP of Finance and CFO, Petula will be part of the Good Shepherd senior leadership team and will be responsible for the finances for Good Shepherd’s Lehigh Valley-based operation and Good Shepherd Penn Partners, based in Philadelphia. Petula will oversee Good Shepherd departments including accounting/finance, information technology, materials management, health information services, and patient financial services.
