As a part of the UNC Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Grand Rounds lecture series, Evan W. Rivers, DO, (pictured right) Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), headquartered in Chicago, Ill, and Northwestern Memorial Hospital, also located in Chicago, will serve as guest lecturer. A recent UNC news release indicates that Rivers will present his lecture, titled, “Comprehensive Pain Management and Functional Rehabilitation,” on January 10 at UNC’s Boudurant Hall. Rivers is reportedly completing a fellowship at RIC in multidisciplinary pain management, which integrates several areas of pain medicine including chronic pain rehabilitation, acute pain, and interventional pain management. 

The lecture series play a key role in the UNC department of physical medicine and rehabilitation’s aim to optimize health and function of individuals with disabilities through a patient-centered continuum of care.
