Permobil officially launched its philanthropic arm, the Permobil Foundation, during an event held at the recent International Seating Symposium (ISS).

Proceeds from every Permobil, TiLite, and ROHO product sold will now fund the Foundation, which the company notes was set up to provide support to nonprofit organizations and individuals with mobility limitations. Examples of this support include sponsoring fundraising events, providing college scholarships, volunteering, and donations of mobility solutions and accessories.

“Permobil’s founder Per Uddén built the company with one belief; that every person has the right to mobility and independence. That same belief is as strong today as it was on day one. With the help of the Permobil Foundation we hope that we can build impactful relationships with our customers and nonprofit partners helping to fulfill a life of independence,” says Larry Jackson, president of Permobil North America, in a media release.

Ashley Davis, executive director of the Permobil Foundation, concurs.

“Working for Permobil you see the passion that goes into building customized chairs that fits the customer’s needs,” she says. “That’s why our tagline, It’s a Work of Heart, is so fitting. Having a philanthropic arm of Permobil will allow us to create true partnerships with nonprofit organizations and give back to individuals to help them reach their dreams.”
