Wheelchair-accessible van retailer MobilityWorks has signed an agreement to purchase Alamo Mobility, which is headquartered in San Antonio and has a second location in Selma, Tex. The approximate closing date is June 15.

This acquisition increases MobilityWorks’ presence in the state of Texas, where it currently has locations in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and Waco, and totals the number of locations to 69 in 24 states.

“We are extremely pleased to have Alamo Mobility become a part of our family,” says Eric Mansfield, president of MobilityWorks, in a media release.

“We are very similar in our core values and in how we operate our business. I anticipate this being a very smooth transition, and we look forward to serving the entire San Antonio metro area.”

Ty Beck, Alamo Mobility’s general manager for several years, will be overseeing operations for both San Antonio locations, according to the release.

“I’ve known the MobilityWorks leadership team for many years and we share the same views on providing great customer service. I know we will continue that tradition as MobilityWorks,” Beck notes, in the release.
