In partnership with country singer LeAnn Rimes and Wish Upon a Hero, Convaid, headquartered in Torrance, Calif, has donated a new Convaid EZ Rider wheelchair to Renee Bandura, aged 32 years old. Bandura’s mother reportedly posted the wish on the Wish Upon a Hero Website for a Convaid Wheelchair on her behalf. According to a recent news release, the chair was donated to the family during Rimes’ concert at Keswick Theatre, Glenside, Pa.

As a Rett Syndrome patient, a wheelchair is key to Bandura’s mobility. Bandura’s mother Rosemary calls the Convaid chair ideal, “It will fit easily into our adapted family van and allow her to go out to the mall or anywhere outside the house…It will be a very positive change in her life,” she emphasizes.

David Girgenti, Wish Upon a Hero president and founder, articulates the organization’s happiness and satisfaction with Convaid’s service in transporting the chair to the event and complements the chair’s construction and design.

In the past, the release notes, Convaid has also worked together with Wish Upon a Hero to provide wheelchairs to other individuals requiring lightweight wheelchairs. Chris Braun, Convaid president, calls the organization amazing and highlights Convaid’s pride in being, “a part of something that helps people in need.”
