The Foundation for Physical Therapy, headquartered in Alexandria,Va, recently appeared on NBC’s Today Show and was mentioned by name. Foundation Trustee Marilyn Moffat, PT, DPT, PhD, FAPTA, CSCS, appeared alongside some her New York University physical therapy students outside the mid-town Manhattan, NY, NBC Studios to promote “National Physical Therapy Month.” The group wore bright green shirts and held banners promoting the foundation.

Al Roker, Today Show weatherman and feature anchor, spotlighted the group during the broadcast and referenced the foundation by name. Roker reportedly articulated his own enthusiasm for the profession, saying, “Always love the physical therapists!”

The Foundation for Physical Therapy is a national, independent, nonprofit corporation to support the physical therapy profession’s research needs in three areas: scientific research, clinical research, and health services research.
