CureDuchenne brings the durable medical equipment (DME) exhibition experience into the living room with the launch of the CureDuchenne Cares Virtual Durable Medical Equipment Expo.

Developed with help from a STRIVE Award (Strategies to Realize Innovation, Vision and Empowerment), from PTC Therapeutics Inc, the Expo is an online resource that enables caregivers and family members to access information on a wide range of equipment that could help keep their loved ones mobile and active.

“At CureDuchenne we strive to create and share valuable resources for families to help them navigate the journey of Duchenne,” says Tiffany Cook, CureDuchenne family resource manager, in a media release. “The Virtual DME Expo is a new tool for families that provides information in a user-friendly environment to support their loved ones.”

The online Expo features an exhibit hall, resource center, and a lounge chat room.

DME showcased in the exhibit hall includes orthoses, mobility devices, home equipment, and respiratory devices.

Registration is required to visit the Expo.
