The Q-Series Wheelchair Lift, manufactured by Winamac, Ind-based BraunAbility, recently won the Golden A’ Design Award in the Differently Abled and Seniors’ Assistance Design category.

The lift, specifically designed for the international mobility market, features aesthetic curves, a “Auto-Tite” system that prevents noise while the vehicle is in motion, and integrated side-plate LED lights for safety.

“The entire team is pleased to receive recognition from the A’ Design Award committee,” says Phill Bell, director of product portfolio – lifts at BraunAbility, in a media release. “From over 35,000 submissions, the Q-Series design placed in the top 3%, which is a powerful recognition of the outstanding work from a very talented design team.”

Representatives from BraunAbility will accept the Golden A’ Design Award in Como, Italy. Then, the Q-Series Lift will be featured at the Museum of Design.

The Q-Series Wheelchair lift is initially being released to European-regulation markets through BraunAbility partner Autoadapt, and will be introduced to additional international markets later this year. It is not available in Canada or the United States, the release continues.
