Standard Textile Co introduces DermaTherapy Bed Linens, which have been specifically developed, and recently FDA approved, to help reduce the occurrence of pressure ulcers.

DermaTherapy Bed Linens, which comprise a pillowcase, a top flat sheet, a bottom fitted sheet, and an underpad, was developed in partnership between Cincinnati-based Standard Textile Co and Precision Fabrics Group Inc.

The linens feature silk-like fibers that are engineered to help regulate the patient’s “microclimate”—a combination of heat, moisture, pressure, friction, and shear, according to a media release from Standard Textile Co.

“Our system-wide conversion to DermaTherapy bedding has dramatically improved the quality of care for our Cone Health patients and delivered significant savings for our healthcare system from the reduction of pressure ulcers,” says Annette Osborne MSN, RN, NEA-BC, vice president, nursing and patient services, at Cone Health, Greensboro, NC, in the release.
