The medically fragile children at Voorhees Pediatric Facility, Voorhees, NJ, have collected holiday gifts to donate to their neighbors–seniors living at the Lakewood of Voorhees Nursing Home.

The children will visit the nearby nursing home at 2:30 pm on December 15 to deliver the gifts in person.

“The idea of this event is for our children to provide a holiday ‘shopping’ venue for seniors who might not otherwise be able to go holiday shopping,” says Lauren Waite, director of Recreation/Child Life, at Voorhees Pediatric Facility.

Since its founding in 1982,Vorhees has grown into a nationally recognized pediatric specialty care center, with 119 beds and the largest freestanding ventilator program in the country.
