New from Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare is the Med-Aire Melody Alternating Pressure and Low Air Loss Mattress Replacement System.

The Group 2 support surface is built to provide both alternating pressure and low air loss to optimize pressure redistribution, shear reduction, and microclimate control to help prevent and treat any stage pressure ulcer, according to the company.

The system features adjustable weight settings for improving patient immersion, designed to effectively redistribute pressure and improve individualized patient comfort. Other features include a visual low?pressure alarm, CPR valve for rapid deflation and a removable nylon cover that is fluid resistant, low shear and vapor permeable to protect skin from moisture and friction.
