The Texas Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke Council (TCCDS) recently awarded Texas Ramp Project the 2017 Texas Outstanding Service Award.

The Council’s goal is to educate, inform, and facilitate action among Texans to reduce the human and financial toll of cardiovascular disease and stroke.

The yearly award is presented to the organization that best epitomizes that goal. For 2017, the chosen organization was Texas Ramp Project, notes a media release from TCCDS.

Texas Ramp Project is a nonprofit organization that builds wheelchair ramps for elderly and disabled people in financial need.
