As part of Spasticity Awareness Week, United Spinal Association announces the formation of the National Spasticity Alliance to raise awareness of spasticity and to help those who are living with spasticity.

Other advocacy groups who are part of the Alliance include National Stroke Association, the Brain Injury Association of America, Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, and United Cerebral Palsy.

With the founding of the National Spasticity Alliance, there’s help in sight for those people living with the debilitating effects of spasticity,” says James Weisman, United Spinal’s president and CEO, in a media release.

A recently launched website includes educational materials, multimedia tools, and personal stories, per the release.
