WebPT, Phoenix, recently released a revenue cycle management service in addition to its electronic health records (EHR) system for physical therapists, according to a press release. The cloud-based software developer aims to offer a complete solution that can help make billing and collections more efficient.

“We’re expanding the WebPT solution to help clinic owners become successful in all areas of their practice,” Paul Winandy, chief executive officer of WebPT, says. Winandy adds that it is important for therapists to be paid promptly and accurately for every service they provide.

With the revenue cycle management system, electronic documentation of billable services and demographics will reportedly flow directly from the WebPT EHR system to a dedicated billing team, which will handle claims processing, reimbursement management, and accounts receivable. Tasks performed include posting and reconciling payments, and investigating, correcting, and appealing insurance denials.

In addition, real-time, 24/7 access to billing and claims information is reportedly available and can be accessed from a computer, tablet, or Web-ready device. A dashboard provides daily, weekly, and monthly reports for review, and features insight into account aging, revenue per visit, and payer mix, in an effort to provide a better understanding about the cash flow of the clinic.
