Mediware has entered into a business relationship with Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes Inc (FOTO), which will integrate Mediware’s MediLinks rehabilitation software and FOTO’s web-based outcomes functionality, according to a company news release. The integration is intended to allow customers to better measure patient outcomes and improve the quality of care.
The release notes that the integration of the two products is also designed help MediLinks users capture demographic information, track G-codes, and provide outcomes reporting. As a result, Mediware customers will be able to examine patient episode information with MediLinks software and simultaneously leverage FOTO’s ability to measure patient outcomes and benchmarking tools.
Mediware clients will also be invited to an exclusive webinar in May showcasing the integration features.
Al Amato, PT, MBA, president, FOTO, adds that the partnership will “ease the burden of managing compliance demands from payors and legislation, as well as allow users of the MediLinks software more time to focus on patient care.”
As stated in the release, FOTO’s outcomes reports are built to compare treatment effectiveness, treatment efficiency, and patient satisfaction by impairment. The company’s database serves as an external directory for rehabilitation, engineered to measure functional outcomes for orthopedic, neurological, work hardening/work conditioning, pain management, cardiovascular pulmonary, and pelvic floor dysfunction patients.
