The National Association of Rehab Providers and Agencies (NARA), headquartered in Washington, DC, recently announced its upcoming audio conference that will discuss the onslaught of $1.2 trillion in automatic spending cuts (known as sequestration). The conference will address how the cuts will impact Medicare and Medicaid providers, physician fee schedule, and the outpatient therapy cap exceptions process. Listeners can tune in on December 15th 2011.

George G. Olsen, Esq., of the Williams & Jensen law firm, will serve as the audio conference’s speaker. Olsen will share his expertise in legislative, regulatory, and policy matters concerning the healthcare sector.

The conference will provide an in-depth outline of how sequestration works and its potential impact on Medicare and Medicaid providers. It will also provide answers to the questions of how and when will Congress prevent the 27% reduction in the physician fee schedule which will occur automatically on January 1, 2012 unless Congress acts, and how and when will Congress extend the outpatient therapy cap exceptions process.

Additionally, the audio conference will update NARA members on the status of the regulations governing Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs).
