CMS [recently] issued various regulatory changes to further support hospitals’, physicians’ and other healthcare organizations’ capabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic, including expanding Medicare coverage of telehealth visits.

These additional services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, gait training, and home care.

Not so fast, however, according to the American Physical Therapy Association on its website, where a news report is headlined, “New CMS Rule Includes Therapy Codes in Telehealth, Stops Short of Allowing PTs to Conduct Telehealth Services.”
