Subscribers to patient engagement and clinical education software MedBridge have a new option with the introduction of MedBridge GO, a mobile app designed to help patients improve their adherence to home exercise programs (HEP).

MedBridge GO features a built-in algorithm that automatically converts clinician-prescribed HEP into an easily achievable daily dosage of exercises, organized into an interactive video-based playlist accessed via a single tap.

Easy-to-follow instructions with audio narration guide patients through their daily program, while time-based reminders and a gamified rewards system keep users engaged with their recovery plan throughout the episode of care and post-discharge, explains a media release from MedBridge.

“MedBridge GO bridges the gap between the clinical setting and home exercise,” says Justin Kowalchuk, CEO at MedBridge, in the release.

“It’s an exciting and logical next step to give patients access to interactive exercises in a native mobile environment. Since patient outcomes are directly related to exercise adherence, we believe MedBridge GO will improve the patient experience as well as their rehabilitation.”

MedBridge GO is included in the annual MedBridge subscription, and is also available free to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
