Darrell-Burnette OttobockOttobock, Minneapolis, has announced the certification of Mobility Solutions sales representative Darrell Burnette as an assistive technology professional (ATP). The achievement, as outlined by RESNA, the certifying body, recognizes that Burnette has demonstrated competence in analyzing the needs of individuals with disabilities, assisting in the selection of the appropriate assistive technology for their needs, and providing training in the use of the selected device or devices.

A news release from Ottobock notes that Burnette joined the company in 2011, bringing several years of experience in the health care industry to his role. Burnette is responsible for a sales territory that includes Washington, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. Burnette holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy from East Carolina University and a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University.

Frank Oschell, Eastern Regional sales manager for Ottobock’s Mobility Solutions business unit, designates Burnette as a valued leader and mentor in the company. “This recent achievement especially positions Darrell to assist customers in finding the best clinical solution for a patient and is indicative of his consistent dedication to being a knowledgeable and relevant resource to them through training, experience, and continuing education,” Oschell says.
