The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and EDUCATA, an interactive, online continuing education platform for physical therapists and other medical professionals, have entered a partnership to provide courses for physical therapy professionals in the state of Maryland.
"This partnership clearly helps us deliver on our goals and mission," said Lauri Jacobson, executive director, APTA. "We are committed to the promotion, delivery, and enhancement of physical therapy. Education and research are key factors in achieving these goals."
EDUCATA offers an interactive environment created to engage with the student through visual presentations, video clips, audio narration, and two-way communication.
"We are very pleased to help serve the PTs and PTAs of Maryland through their association," said EDUCATA president and CEO Marilyn Pink, PT, PhD. "In a state where continuing education credits are required for license renewal, we provide a convenient, cost-effective learning alternative that focuses on quality. We see tremendous value for PTs and PTAs to keep up with the latest advances in the field and are pleased to offer tools for them to do so."
Online courses available through this arrangement have been approved for continuing education credits by the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. The courses will be available through APTA's Web site at www.apta.org, where members can benefit from a special rate.
