Rehab Information Network (RNet)
RNet is a multiuser software program that operates on the Windows platform with Visual Fox Pro language. The system is integratable with payroll, admission, and other systems.

Created for use in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, clinics, private practices, and other rehab agencies, RNet offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology evaluations with automatic CMS-700 and CMS-701. It also features up to the minute outcomes reporting, productivity reporting, financial and billing modules, and a reporting module that produces more than 90 management and case load analysis reports.

Customer service includes software upgrades and technical support that come with the software.

Price is based on the number of locations, with two pricing structures: a one-time license fee, and a pay-as-you-go usage fee.

OutcomesExpert
RehabExpert

RehabExpert integrates all systems required by rehab therapists today, including prospective payment system (PPS) support, outcomes, billing, and documentation. For contract rehab companies, OutcomesExpert includes a central module that is used to manage critical data elements that must remain consistent for several facilities, automatically collect data from facilities overnight via modems, and automatically generate scheduled reports and billing documents. OutcomesExpert and RehabExpert support several billing arrangements for Medicare-A PPS, Medicare-B fee schedules, and managed care, while minute utilization reports provide information about patient treatments that are not in compliance with established resource utilization group (RUG) levels.

Other features include patient admission and discharge tracking, treatment and evaluation tracking, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) 700/701 plan of treatment with SmartText, interdisciplinary outcomes, discipline-specific outcomes with modality tracking, word processing with templates and patient merge, contract rehab invoices with support for PPS and managed care billing, labor hour tracking, payroll and timesheet tracking, facility profit reporting and billing forecasts, caseload reports, referral source tracking, therapist/patient scheduling, accounts receivable system, and therapist productivity graphs and reports.

Both packages can be used with Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, and XP. Customer service includes on-site training and deployment, call-in support, and continuous upgrades with release notes. Prices range from $1,000 to $5,000, depending on number of sites, and whether data are managed at a central office or on facility computers.

The Rehab Management Toolkit (RMT) is a multidiscipline, multiple location management program featuring documentation, scheduling, outpatient and contract therapy billing, practice management reporting, and electronic claims submission.

The software is applicable in a wide variety of practice situations, and also supports multiple disciplines, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and respiratory therapy.

ReDoc Software is clinical documentation software for physical, occupational, and speech therapists. It uses the latest Microsoft technologies, including point and click features, resource libraries, and voice and macro activation. ReDoc PT is for physical therapists; ReDoc OT is for occupational therapists; and ReDoc SLP is for speech-language pathologists.

The software produces all reports needed throughout the treatment cycle, including initial evaluations, reevaluations, plans of care, progress notes, discharge summaries, functional outcome measures, productivity reports, and physician’s communications. All customers receive one or two upgrades per year to keep current with ICD-9 and CPT codes, and clinical standards of practice as set forth by APTA, AOTA, and ASHA.

The software is available on a subscription basis for $50 to $75 per month per therapist, or it can be purchased outright for $999 to $1,499 per therapist. With subscription, technical support and upgrades are available at no additional cost.
