A recent news story reports that the Pensacola, Fla-based West Florida Rehabilitation Institute will be hosting Traumatic Brain Injury Support group sessions the second Wednesday of each month, with the next meeting slated for January 9. According to the Santa Rosa’s Press Gazette, Susan Grundhoefer, MEd, resource facilitation coordinator, TBI Resource and Support Center will present the topic of “Volunteering in the New Year.”
The news story adds that the Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group is intended to provide support and the latest information about TBI for both current and former brain injury patients, their families, and others in the community who may have sustained a TBI. Area professionals who treat brain injury patients will also reportedly be available during the session to answer questions and offer additional education about recovery.
