Anodyne Medical Device Acquires Anatomic ConceptsAnodyne Medical Device Inc, Los Angeles, has executed definitive purchase agreements for the acquisition of Anatomic Concepts Inc, Corona, Calif, from Anatomic Global Inc. The transaction closed at the end of September. Anatomic Concepts designs, manufactures, and distributes medical support surfaces and medical patient-positioning devices, including mattresses, mattress overlays, mattress replacements, operating room patient-positioning devices, operating room table pads, and related accessories. Anatomic Concepts delivers the benefits of innovative technology to sleeping, seating, and patient-positioning surfaces worldwide. Protected by eight US and 26 international patents, Anatomic Sleep Support Surface Technology products provide enhanced spinal support for effectiveness in skin integrity protection and patient comfort. "We are excited about the opportunity to utilize Anatomic Concepts' proprietary patented technology to extend Anodyne Medical Device's foam mattress product line and to significantly expand our patient-positioning devices," says Mark Bidner, chairman and CEO of Anodyne Medical Device. ROHO Group Announces New Director of Training and Education
The ROHO Group Inc, Belleville, Ill, promoted Darren Hammond to director of training and education. Hammond, formerly clinical applications manager for the Training and Education Department, has been with the ROHO group for a year. He is a physical therapist and certified wound specialist who has held clinical positions all over the country, and has served as director of rehabilitation services at the Philadelphia Nursing Home in Philadelphia. For the past 6 years, Hammond has taught in various physical therapy programs in the Philadelphia region, including appointments at Temple University, Thomas Jefferson University, and University of the Sciences, and currently an adjunct appointment at Drexel University. AEL Opens Regional Sales Office in Wisconsin
AEL, Mill Creek, Wash, has opened a new regional sales office at one of its major Milwaukee facilities to further improve its sales and account management. A number of the company's dealers will continue to work with their current territory manager in Washington, while others will be introduced to their new product specialist team in Wisconsin. Company President Donald Wanat says AEL had the opportunity to draw on additional and expanded resources in Wisconsin to help enable the creation of the new Milwaukee regional sales office, which opened in July. "With the additional product specialist team, AEL is in a position to increase responsiveness to a host of field representation opportunities, such as customer in-services and visits," he says. "Our goal is to improve service levels by ensuring a smooth transfer of activities in every respect and to guarantee no AEL dealer is inconvenienced along the way." |
