  • Cypress Therapy Management
Cypress is a multiuser, sequel database and Web-based application service provider portal that uses C++. It has the ability to export patient rehabilitation charges into a facility’s third-party billing software. By utilizing a data export, the facility is able to eliminate manual entry of these charges by the business office staff. This single point of data entry by the rehabilitation department increases accuracy of billing and ensures that there are no transposed or misread numbers, correct charges are associated with the correct patient, and use of CPT Code modifiers is appropriate. The Cypress export enables facilities to import the rehabilitation treatments and submit billing to their intermediary on a weekly basis, improving accounts receivable activity.

AMS currently offers several third-party data exports; however, Accu-Med is continually creating new Cypress exports. Cypress has customer support and built-in computer-based training. On-site and Web-based training also is available. The software can be used in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient programs, and private practices.

  • Clinicient Office
Clinicient Office is hosted application software accessible via Microsoft Internet Explorer from any Windows 98 or newer computing device or as a client server application. It uses an automated approach to scheduling, documentation, and billing that helps improve reimbursement and clinic management. A registration and scheduling module provides patient, therapist, and resource scheduling with point-and-click access to treatment documentation directly from the appointment. Multiple facilities can be scheduled from a single location, and patients and therapists can be scheduled across facilities.

The software lets therapists click through patient reports such as evaluations, discharge summaries, progress reports, and daily treatment notes. Templates provide documentation for disciplines throughout outpatient rehab. Integrated cross-checking of treatment time against charge time helps prevent under- and overbilling. The optional billing module imports the charges posted by the therapists, and the system automatically calculates expected payments and produces management reports that allow an office to track business performance.

The cost of the software is $195 per user per month for single user license of documentation and scheduling, and the optional billing module is $375 per month for up to 2 users. The client server edition starts at $25,000 for a minimum of 10 users. Updates, upgrades, and telephone support are included in the monthly subscription fee. It is appropriate for all outpatient rehab and therapy settings.
