PTP Signs Preferred Provider Contracts

Preferred Therapy Providers (PTP), Scottsdale, Ariz, a network of private practice physical and occupational clinics, announced contracts with Devon Health Services, King of Prussia, Pa, and TLC Advantage, Sioux Falls, SD. Devon Helath Services, a preferred providers organization (PPO), contracts with more than 135,000 physicians and 675 hospitals in six northeastern states. A preferred provider network not owned by the medical community, TLC Advantage holds its 3,300 medical providers to strict credentialing criteria.

MediServe Software Aids Oschner

MediServe Information Systems, Tempe, Ariz, signed a 5-year purchase and support agreement with the Rehabilitation Medicine Service in the Oschner Foundation Hospital, New Orleans, to install its MediLinks™ SQL System. The software allows for automated patient records, clinical documentation, outcomes measurement, charge capture/billing, productivity monitoring, and managerial and statistical reporting.

Rehab Providers Expand KMS Software Use

Six rehabilitation providers that use OutcomesExpert® Enterprise software purchased licenses for additional contract rehab sites from KMS Systems, San Clemente, Calif.

The companies—Legacy Healthcare Services, Raleigh, NC; Rehab Specialists, Portland, Ore; Locomotion Therapy, Covina, Calif; Therapy Resources Management, Swansea, Mass; Homeward Rehab, Cincinnati; and Century Rehab, Baton Rouge, La—use the software as their rehab management, billing, and outcomes measurement systems.

AEL Names President

Former StairMaster president Don Wanat became president of Adaptive Engineering Lab (AEL), Seattle. Wanat, who brings 30 years of executive-level experience to the company, will emphasize customer service and product development. AEL manufactures seating and positioning products for wheelchair users.
