Benchmark Completes Acquisition

Benchmark Medical Inc, Malvern, Pa, has acquired Matrix Rehabilitation Inc, Plano, Tex, and its 141 outpatient rehabilitation facilities. Matrix also owns and operates Theraphysics, a network that contracts with payors to provide outpatient rehabilitation services through its affiliate providers. This acquisition is Benchmark’s largest since its inception in January 2000, and positions the company as the nation’s third largest provider of outpatient rehabilitation services.

Bodypoint Designs Announces New Hires

Bodypoint Designs, Seattle, has made several position changes within its customer group. Among the new hires: B.L. Meyer, director of international business development; Cyndi Moody, domestic selling manager; and Elisa Louis, marketing manager. The company says that the changes will strengthen communication and shorten customer response times.

Frog Legs Inc Gets HCPCS Codes

Frog Legs Inc, Vinton, Iowa, has received new HCPCS codes for its Wheelchair Shock Absorber products from the CMS office in Baltimore. The new codes are E1015, E1016, E1017, and E1018 for regular and heavy-duty manual and power chair shock absorbers. Frog Legs produces a patented “hinge and cushion” shock absorber for the front castor wheels of most brands of wheelchairs. For more information, visit www.froglegsinc.com.

Casa Colina Announces New Opening, CEO Named to Board

Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation, Pomona, Calif, recently opened a state-of-the-art outpatient rehabilitation center. The opening is part of a campus renovation project, and features a $2-million, 23,000-square-foot facility with new equipment. In addition, Casa Colina has announced the election of Felice L. Loverso, PhD, its president and CEO, to chairman of the board for the American Rehabilitation Providers Association (AMRPA). As chairman, Loverso will lead the AMRPA in advocacy, general governance, policy development, and other issues.

Entific Announces New Web Site

Entific Medical Systems, Powell, Ohio, has launched a new Web site, www.entific.com, which offers an interactive environment for clinicians and patients. The site includes a public area that features Entific news as well as details on the company’s two product lines. Visitors can also see Entific press releases, read about products, and access contact information.
