Exercise Bands
Resist-A-Band Products, Tampa, Fla, introduces a new line of exercise bands that incorporate more features and benefits. These include bright neon easy-to-see colors, a light to dark color sequence similar to other brands, low powder, and color coded boxes that make them easier to identify. The exercise bands are also made with a more consistent thickness, assuring therapists that the patient receives the correct resistance level. The bands contains a total of eight resistance levels. Resistance Training
Lifeline®, Madison, Wis, introduces the SportGrip, a new resistance trainer designed to strengthen and rehabilitate the hand, finger, wrist, or forearm by squeezing, twisting, bending, flexing, and oscillating. The SportGrip exerciser is covered with 12-inch foam and comes in three sizes and resistance levels, including heavy (red), medium (yellow), and light (green), all designed to accommodate the weakest to the strongest individual. Removable Cushion
Adaptive Engineering Lab (AEL), Mill Creek, Wash, introduces a removable wheelchair cushion cover. This washable, zippered item attaches to the seat base with Velcro, and may be ordered with all seatback types, including foam and upholstery versions. AEL designs and manufactures seating and positioning equipment for people in wheelchairs. Work Simulation Station
Vonco Medical, Dallas, introduces the Rehab 2000 Work Simulation Station, designed for use in work hardening and conditioning programs. This machine features a powder coated structural steel frame, aluminum diamond plate stair treads, and coated steel cables. Lexan panels are included for patient safety. Tires and Wheels
Skyway, Redding, Calif, introduces the new Aero-Flex™ urethane tire, available with its Bead-Lok™ system of nonpneumatic wheels. The tire features an aggressive tread design that is tested for traction and rolling resistance in both dry and wet environments.
