ATG Rehab Acquires Rocky Mountain Medical Equipment to Extend Customer Base
According to a recent ATG Rehab news release, RMME will continue to offer its services to clients, with the exception of wheelchairs and mobility equipment. “Under the expert care of the assistive technology professionals (ATPs) who will join the ATG team, RMME’s 3,100 customers in Colorado will experience a seamless transition in services,” Paul Bergantino, ATG president and CEO, adds. Changes in the medical environment and continued reductions in reimbursement prompted the transition, according to Jody Wright, Rocky Mountain Medical Equipment president. Wright says the changes have made it difficult for small companies such as Rocky Mountain Medical Equipment to uphold their standards. “Working with ATG Rehab made perfect sense for us, by allowing us to maintain our commitment to our customers and ensure that their complex rehab needs are met at a high level,” Wright says. Company co-owners Jody Wright and Julie Wright will continue to operate RMME’s Denver office, which will remain open for all other business lines. ATG Rehab will reportedly operate RMME’s former Colorado Springs office. Michele Longo, ATG Rehab mountain region president, outlines the benefits that the integration of RMME’s rehabilitation staff into the ATG team will present clients: “Their familiarity with our new customers and area clinicians will help us continue to offer quick, responsive wheelchair and mobility equipment service in a way that meets their specific needs.” For more information, visit www.atgrehab.com.
