BlazeSports America hosted its 10th Annual National Disability Sports Conference Banquet, which was held in honor of Randy Snow, on Friday, February 12. Tributes to Snow were presented by BlazeSports and Sunrise Medical at the event.

BlazeSports America—a nonprofit organization and the direct legacy of the 1996 Summer Paralympic Games in Atlanta, whose mission is to advance the lives of children and adults with physical disability through sport, healthy lifestyles, and the prevention of chronic health conditions—has created a Leadership Academy curriculum in honor of Snow. The BlazeSports Leadership Academy, which occurs annually, will use the S-Now leadership curriculum developed with Snow's philosophy in mind to empower young people with disabilities and carry on his legacy and impact on young people.

Sunrise Medical, Longmont, Colo, will be partnering with BlazeSports America each year to donate a Match-Point wheelchair in Snow's name to a young up-and-coming athlete who needs a sports chair. His family has also decided that his organization, NOXQ's Inc, will be turned into a foundation. Sunrise Medical will be donating a portion of each Match-Point sold to the foundation for the lifetime of the chair.

“Randy was a large part of the Quickie and Sunrise culture, and we are proud to be able to honor him and continue his dream of helping others with disabilities realize their potential on and off the court,” said Rachel Kline, head of the Ambassador program for Sunrise.

When hearing of Snow's passing, Sunrise Medical teamed up with multiple companies within the industry and created the Randy Snow: With Gratitude and in Celebration of Life Facebook page. Sunrise Medical will continue to update this page with news of Snow's developing organization and ask that everyone continue to share their personal stories and celebrate his life.
