At the recent Medtrade fall conference, Star Cushion Products Inc introduced its patented Galaxy line of wheelchair cushions, which received the Merit Award for "new product that best exemplifies improvements in quality of life."

The cushion combines multicelled air technology with a contouring anatomical shape. The Galaxy has all the therapeutic aspects of air, but offers many benefits, such as built-in trochanter shelves, adductors, pommel, and features that provide relief for the coccyx and perineum. Six sizes are available. The Galaxy cushion is Medicare approved.
