Michigan-based Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital is implementing the Synzi virtual care communication platform designed to enhance clinician-patient communication.

The partnership with Synzi is aimed at streamlining admissions by remotely connecting clinicians and patients.

The platform will also enable virtual consults across all the Mary Free Bed system of more than 30 allied hospitals in the state, according to a news release.

Via the platform, Mary Free Bed clinicians can remotely connect with patients for referral review and admissions into the Mary Free Bed system. Clinicians also have the ability to create patient programs and message templates for communication via email, SMS/text, and virtual visits to improve care coordination and patient satisfaction.

“We’re excited about how this platform will create more efficient clinical communication across our rehabilitation system,” says Kent Riddle, CEO of Mary Free Bed, in the release. “Enabling our staff to easily communicate with patients on their devices they use every day is another huge benefit.”

Using Synzi’s platform, Mary Free Bed will also connect patients at its facilities with specialists at hospitals throughout the Midwest. This enhanced connectivity will facilitate timelier, more convenient care by eliminating transportation costs and burdens, while providing access to the clinician best suited to address a patient’s individual needs, regardless of either party’s location.

“We are thrilled to be working with Mary Free Bed to improve patient satisfaction and engagement by increasing digital touch points across the continuum of care,” adds Lee Horner, CEO of Synzi, per the release.
