A free seminar offering information on maintaining bone health and preventing osteoporosis and other injuries will take place at Helen Hayes Hospital’s Noyes Conference Center on Thursday, November 16, from 10 am to 1 pm.

The seminar, presented by the New York State Osteoporosis Prevention and Education Program (NYSOPEP), headquartered at Helen Hayes Hospital, West Haverstraw, NY, will cover such topics as nutritional guidelines for promoting stronger bones, osteoporosis risk factors, and preventing falls and fractures.

Discussion leaders will include: Shari Silverstein, RN, MS, Osteoporosis Nurse Educator; Michelle Mosner, RD, CDN, Osteoporosis Nutrition Educator; and Kim Jordan, MA, Health Educator.
