Helen Hayes Hospital has renewed its membership in the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) Rehabilitation Network, a hospital-managed membership network of recommended therapy providers.

To be included in the network, outpatient physical and occupational therapy facilities must successfully complete a rigorous application and inspection process that evaluates their credentials, provision of care, facilities, and scope of service. Network members are recognized for providing exceptional, accessible outpatient rehabilitative care, according to a media release from Helen Hayes Hospital.

Helen Hayes Hospital features an Outpatient Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center, where patients can receive a range of customized therapeutic services provided by a staff of certified specialists in hand therapy, manual therapy, sports & conditioning, geriatrics, lymphedema, aquatic therapy and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. These services are provided in dedicated outpatient therapy suites outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment.

Patients also have access to specialized services such as aquatic therapy, the Prosthetic Orthotic and Wellness Center, and the Center for Rehabilitation Technology, which may complement their therapeutic program.

The West Haverstraw, NY-based hospital is operated by the New York State Department of Health and is a member of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System.
