University of St Augustine for Health Sciences and Texas Children’s Hospital offer the seminar, “Upper Extremity Soft Tissue Mobilization for Occupational Therapy.”

The seminar, aimed at occupational therapists and physical therapists, will take place June 25 to 26 in Houston.

Taught by certified Hand Therapist Elizabeth McGee, PT, DPT, MOT, CHT, MTC, the course will cover soft tissue mobilization evaluation and treatment techniques to the upper extremity, and will discuss posture, soft tissue anatomy, soft tissue biomechanics, and treatment principles.

In addition, the seminar will relate the interdependency between soft tissues, joint mechanics, and neuromuscular control. Various techniques and applications of trigger point release, manual edema mobilization and scar mobilization will be addressed, according to a media release from University of St Augustine for Health Sciences.

Attendees will have the opportunity to earn 1.5 continuing education credits.
