A survey sponsored by brace manufacturer Allard USA suggests that 99% of US adults with foot drop do not wear a brace that would help them to walk normally.

The survey, conducted by independent research firm ORC International, also suggests that only 17% of survey respondents were familiar with foot drop.

The survey was conducted to help the company learn more about helping to improve the quality of life for individuals with physical challenges, according to a media release from Allard USA.

Allard USA also announces the initiation of “Get Back Up Today,” a grassroots movement to give people with foot drop a forum to share their stories. The initiative includes TeamUP, a national team of people with foot drop, per the release.
