Live, online therapy services provider PresenceLearning has redesigned its therapy environment for special needs students in schools with the release of Lightyear.

Lightyear enables the San Francisco-based provider to deliver high-fidelity, live therapy sessions featuring crisp video and sound at lower bandwith requirements to schools than before.

In addition, Lightyear offers newly designed activities and games that occupational therapists and other clinicians can use to create individualized therapy sessions for students.

Another enhancement, according to a media release from PresenceLearning, is a new handwriting font called “Print Practice” for occupational therapy handwriting sessions. Students can personalize their own font style, color, and line thickness, and can then mark their texts using the underlining and highlighting tools.

Other features in Lightyear include a PDF rotation tool, a flashcard editor, and documentation tools for group sessions.
