UNYQ, San Francisco, announces it is expanding its prosthetic covers line to include those for upper-limb amputees.

Available for above- and below-elbow amputees as part of the UNYQ Performance Collection, these covers are 3D printed from a strong polyamide, and are personalized to fit over an amputee’s prosthetic components.

Users can choose from six designs: Next, Space Suit, Feather, Penta, Pixel, and U, per a media release from the company.

“For me, the look of the prosthesis is as important as its functionality,” says Bertolt Meyer, college professor, upper limb amputee and UNYQ user, in the release.

“A stylish prosthetic cover gives me the option to turn my prosthesis into a fashion accessory. It’s not only a sign of my self confidence, but it has also given me more confidence,” he adds.
