Sunrise Medical, headquartered in Fresno, Calif, now offers the Quickie 7 Series of ultra lightweight rigid wheelchairs, per a media announcement.

Designed for active users, the Quickie 7 Series’ frame is crafted from 7000 Series aerospace aluminum that has been heat-treated to increase its strength and allow for thinner, lighter-weight tubing.

Two model types are available: The 7R model features an adjustable frame that allows for quick back angle adjustments. The 7RS model features a fully rigid backrest and axle plate.

Unique to the 7R model is the Freestyle Backrest System, which per the release is available exclusively with the JAY J3 back and helps improve the users range of upper body motion by eliminating traditional back canes.

Customization options in addition to the two model types are three caster settings, two frame length options (per seat depth), seven rear wheel options, and nine rear tire options. Additional options, including frame graphics, four-link suspension, Quickie Xtender Power Assist, and carbon fiber components, are also available, per the release.
