Amputee Coalition and Organogenesis Inc, headquartered in Canton, Mass, are hosting a webinar on November 23, to discuss preventing limb loss in veterans battling diabetes.

During the webinar, Jeffrey M. Robbins, DPM, director of podiatric services at the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), will discuss why people living with diabetes are at risk for limb loss, as well as the steps one can take to stop a diabetic foot ulcer from leading to an amputation.

He will also give an overview of the VA’s system of care for limb loss prevention and what a person at risk for limb loss can expect in the VA system, explains a media release from Amputee Coalition and Organogenesis Inc.

The webinar, in honor of Diabetes Awareness Month, will take place on Monday, November 23, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM EST.
