A free webinar will explore how aquatic therapy was used to optimize a patient’s recovery from bilateral total hip replacement. The webinar, sponsored by Middletown, Pa-headquartered HydroWorx, is scheduled to be presented July 23, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm EDT.

The webinar will be led by Mark Glod, PTA, who will review the case, including the initial evaluation, timeline with specific exercises, and the outcomes. Mark will also discuss the aquatic therapy program at Peak Performance, where he is employed. Discussion will include the different conditions and injuries the clinic commonly treats and the properties of water that make it effective for the populations the clinic serves.

According to a media release from HydroWorx, Glod will also review protocols used in the water as well as postrecovery achievements, improvements, and personal goals met.

HydroWorx also notes that to receive the continuing education credits, attendees must attend the live webinar in its entirety. One CEU is available for athletic trainers through BOC. Certificates will be available for those who wish to petition a certification agency for CEUs.

More information and registration is available online.
