A new rolling walker, the Tour, has been released to the mobility market by Franklin, Wis-based Motivo. The new device is engineered to enhance user independence by offering a feature set aimed at improving on previous versions of walker designs.

Among those features, the company notes in a media release, is device design that enables an upright walking position inside the Tour. This feature is said to reduce fatigue and improve posture while also providing a high level of stability. The Tour’s ergonomics are also designed to allow users to be in close proximity to cabinets and sinks, which the company reports can improve the level of convenience and safety the user experiences with the device.

A rigid stow-away padded seat, cup holders, storage compartment designed for easy access, and a foldable tray are also said to be among the new device’s feature package. Customizable graphics, color choices and modern design are intended to provide the Tour with the look of a stylish accessory.

Furthermore, the Tour is made to be lightweight. The company states that the device uses a monocoque design with lightweight and durable materials that yield a weight of approximately 20 pounds.
