The Zippie X’CAPE and The Zippie ZM-310 are two new pediatric wheelchairs now available from Fresno, Calif-based Sunrise Medical. The Zippie X’CAPE offers XLOCK Technology, designed to deliver the performance of a rigid frame with the convenience of a folding frame. The Zippie ZM-310 features a small base and pediatric seating that aims to maximize accessibility and independence.

“We are excited to launch our latest additions to our growing pediatric portfolio,” says Pete Coburn, Sunrise Medical’s president of US commercial operations. “These chairs were designed specifically for pediatrics with feedback from clinicians, end users, caregivers and ATPs. We are confident these latest products will be widely accepted and successful.”

The Zippie X’CAPE offers the company’s new XLOCK crossbrace technology. “This new technology offers a lower weight and a significant increase in frame rigidity. With this technology, propulsion energy is significantly reduced. This is an essential benefit for young kids in their development.

The ZM-310 also reportedly offers a powerful, compact base with the JAY seating options, positioning components, and accessories.

These latest introductions demonstrate Sunrise Medical’s commitment to the pediatric mobility segment. Careful attention has been taken to ensure these products grow with children throughout their development while providing them the independence to explore their world.
