National Spine & Pain Centers recently opened a new location in Cumberland, Md, headed by Ali El-Mohandes, MD. The new facility specializes in non-surgical, interventional solutions, and medication management for the treatment of pain.

Among the non-surgical treatments provided at the new facility is spinal cord stimulation. The facility also reportedly offers epidural injections, facet joint injections, discography, and kyphoplasty. Each procedure is said to require less than 1 hour to complete.

“I would like to thank the Cumberland and Western Maryland community of patients and physicians for receiving us in such a gracious manner.  I will endeavor to continue providing the best comprehensive pain care available as we have been doing in Hagerstown.  I am glad that our new Cumberland office location provides easier access and less commuting time for our Western Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania patients.  It is an honor to be accepted into your community,” El-Mohandes says.

El-Mohandes is the facility’s lead provider, and reportedly concluded an  anesthesiology residency and pain medicine fellowship in Pittsburgh, Pa, at the Allegheny General Hospital.

This Cumberland location one of two National Spine and Pain Centers that serve the Western Maryland community. The office reports that it will be accept new patients Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
