Ottobock’s Matt Swiggum has been selected to serve as its new executive vice president of sales for North America. An Ottobock news release notes that Swiggum started at Ottobock in 1997 as a sales representative and has since progressed through the ranks of sales leadership, serving in the positions of director of sales for Technical Orthopedics, business unit director for Mobility Solutions, and most recently as Ottobock’s vice president of Mobility Solutions.
As executive vice president of sales of North America, the release states that Swiggum will act as the leader for the Ottobock sales representatives across all business units, with the goal to expand the region’s selling skills, share best practices, and ensure that all customers receive the most optimized and consistent experiences when working with the company.
Andreas Schultz, regional president and CFO for North America, states that during his tenure at Ottobock, Swiggum has “been instrumental in instilling advanced sales training and emphasizing a philosophy of partnership with customers.”
“The company has seen strong growth under his direction. Our new sales strategy is lifting us to the next level of excellence and we are confident that our customers and the industry will benefit even further from the increased efficiency and stronger alignment regionally and globally of our entire sales force under Matt’s leadership,” Schultz adds in the release.
