Indego20device

Today at 10 a.m. (MDST) Craig Hospital will become the first of three of the nation’s top rehab facilities to demonstrate the Indego Exoskeleton. Those in attendance will see a live demonstration of the device, designed to help individuals affected by a mobility impairment to raise their level of independence by enabling them to stand and walk.

The Indego is currently available for investigational use, with approval from the Food and Drug Administration anticipated in mid-2015, according to a news release from Craig Hospital. Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, NYI Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation, Shepherd Center, and Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago were other facilities named in the news release as additional sites where the Indego is being trailed.
