Newest Project Walk East Coast Location to Open Fall of 2014
Project Walk Paralysis Recovery Centers has announced the opening of its first franchised location on the East Coast in fall of 2014. A company news release notes that Jacqueline and Larry Arlen own the Boston-based franchise. The Arlens first experienced Project Walk when their daughter Victoria, a paralympian swimmer, spent a few weeks at the San Diego location. Victoria, the release says, has Transverse Myelitis. When the Arlens noticed a change in Victoria, they opted to bring the Project Walk experience to their hometown.
Tim Yates, Project Walk CEO, states, “…When the Arlen family approached us about purchasing a Project Walk franchise, we felt honored to be joining forces with a family who is truly passionate about the brand.”
A spark of hope in Victoria’s eyes “changed everything for us,” says Jacqueline Arlen and she adds, “I have always known I have so much more to give. When we walked into Project Walk we felt it immediately. Victoria looked at me and said ‘mum, you just found your calling’ and I knew it to be true.”
Project Walk specializes in activity-based recovery and is based upon The Dardzinski Method. Its mission centers on providing an improved quality of life for individuals impacted by mobility related disorders.
