The Achieva Sock-Assist, available through Gilroy, Calif-based North Coast Medical, features a design intended to allow easy donning of socks or knee-high nylons using one or two hands. The product lays flat on the floor and is intended to accommodate feet and calves of all sizes.
The Achieva Sock-Assist also features a nonstick surface, and its two side wings keep the sock on the Sock-Assist until it is released on the calf. The product’s center tongue helps ease the sock onto the device, and its rear flares help prevent the cord from rubbing against the skin. The Sock-Assist’s loop and cord handles can be cut to adjust length, and its textured surface is intended to prevent skin from sticking to the sock aid.
